Yup. That time of year.

It's getting darker earlier, and it's finally starting to cool down. That wonderful time of year when the leaves start changing color, I start pulling out the sweaters, and we start fiddling with the thermostat to make sure that we will never actually be comfortable in our apartment. And, when my brain decides that it's time to sleep until spring. I mean, I really love the weather, and that's saying something, considering I thought I was going to die during my first mainland winter. But, I think all those years of Hawaiian sunshine have made me particularly succeptible to feeling low and tired during the darker, cooler months. I really need to figure out if there's some way around this, as I'd love to be able to have my body and my brain greet the coming of the fall with glee.
They have those sun-imitating light bulbs, you could try sitting under one and seeing if it helps. My college roommate used to do that and it helped her with her winter blahs.

(Then again, she also ate peas to stave off depression. ... )

I am picturing me as a little seedling, trying to grow, leaning at the light. Or.. uh. Something. Perhaps I need less cider. :)

Ewwww. Peas.
grow !
Just make sure you turn yourself periodicly so you don't grow to be lopsided.
SAD
Think you suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder ?
Perhaps a lightbox would help ?
Re: SAD
Yeah, I'm thinking that's probably in the running. Maybe I shall get a lightbox, and perhaps then my plants will grow!
Re: SAD
I am now picturing crazy!doc handing you an Anarchist's-Cookbook-style book of Random Medical Techniques, including plans for making your own lightbox, and suggesting Home Depot for the wood... but giving you samples of the full-spectrum bulbs. ;)
