Commuters face traffic jams. Computers crash more often than usual. Telephone circuits seem perpetually overloaded. Given that this is the height of the holiday season, it's not hard to imagine why. Most people around you are patient and even cheerful. However, too much of this will bring out the underlying tensions that nobody wants to consider these days. Remove yourself from any situation that you'd prefer not to see escalate. If you can afford a spontaneous day off, this is the one. And if you have to keep doing what you're doing, be sure that your smile comes straight from your heart.
