Things what we learned at the doctor today:

Apparently, the doctors don't like it when your blood pressure is 140/110.

At least, they'll keep taking it, trying to make it something else. Five times, I had my blood pressure taken. Owie.
They always take mine three times. Twice right at the beginning of an exam and once right at the end. I have a disease called "white-coat-itis" and it causes sudden spikes in blood pressure when exposed to certain garments or people in positions of authority.

FWIW, I also have "studded-leather-undergarment-itis," the symptoms of which are remarkably similar: elevated bp and pulse, occasional shortness of breath, discipline problems... the works! :)
So what happens if you run across someone in a white coat and studded leather undergarments who is in a position of authority?
