So, for those of you who have talked to me on the phone...

Do I sound particularly masculine? I was just talking to the good people at Can-AM, and every person I talked to called me "Sir."

I'm confused.

When I was a child I would often hear people call my mother "sir" when she ordered fast food through a drive through microphone. My mother doesn't have a deep voice, but I suppose it was low enough that people weren't sure and chose to use "sir" because it was "safer" than calling a man "ma'am". I don't think your voice sounds masculine in the slightest bit, but it is likely low enough that people are unsure when it comes to something that degrades the quality of the voice, like a telephone.
Hmmm. Possibly. I guess that makes sense. It's just very disconcerting. Perhaps if I giggled more. ;)
Bigger breasts! Bigger breasts!

Wait. You already have ample bosoms. Maybe we just need to see them.

Wait. I've already seen them. With tatoos on them. :)

You're definitely a girl. :)

Never having heard your voice, I can't say for sure, but I do have an ex-bf who was often called "ma'am" when he called customer service places and his voice wasn't particularily girly.

Personally, I would much prefer being "sir"ed to being asked "Is your mother or father home?" and/or "Are you over the age of 18?" which is what I get most commonly.
