Phases two and three of fun: complete.

After dropping Nyarla and Jenn back off at Nyarla's house, I toodled on home and gathered dvorak, and we went off to the movies. The movie wasn't what I was expecting, but it is still good. John Malkovich is a creepy creepy man. There should be a movie with both John Malkovich and Christopher Walken in it. That would be creepy.

After the movie, I got a little snitty because I was hungry, and dvorak wasn't, and I wanted real food, and he was ambivalent, and it was all very frustrating, so I drove us home. Then, I decided to get Outback for takeout, and did that, and I ate, and was no longer grumpy, and things were ok again. Perhaps I would have been less grumpy had I managed to eat at some point before 10:45 PM.

As an added bonus, I tried on the two skirts that I got today (one found by Jenn, and one by Nyarla), and they both fit! Even the one that was one size too small and was gonna be my "lose weight so you can fit into this" skirt. (Since I already fit into it, I don't have to lose weight now, right?)

Tomorrow, I think Nyarla and I are going to go to Sally's, and then I will see if I can convince her to come back this way and dig through my clothes and find shirts to go with all the cool skirts I've been getting.

Weekend. Refit. Relax. Rest. Yay.

Good morning!

I'm feeling like I'm in a better mental place than I have been in quite a while. I feel... unfettered, light, free. Yes, yes. I know this will pass, but you know what? I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts.

Share and share alike.

I went and fetched Nyarla this afternoon, and let myself into the house (the door was open, and this is not uncommon). Nobody downstairs. I start hallo-ing, and still no response. I go to the foot of the stairs and shout up a greeting, and hear a woof! Lightning watchdog, that Zeus. :)

Nyarla and I went to Sally's Beauty, and went gaga over the wide selection of makeup, hair dyes, hair care supplies, nail care supplies, and other miscellaneous beauty junk. I needed more lipsticks. Really. I did. Then we stopped at Total Crafts, where I escaped with a mere $6.00 of stuff! After that, was food at Subway, since it was right there and stuff.

After the errands, I kidnapped Nyarla and brought her back to the apartment and made her tell me what clothes of mine coordinated with the new skirts that I have and the others that are on the way. But, I did compensate her for her time. I decided to prune my bag collection, and pawned off a bunch of things on her. Then I decided to prune my Sanrio collection some, and she inherited a bunch of it. For those who don't realize exactly what this entails, I have decided that, when I lose my job, I could probably support myself selling off excess bags, Sanrio stuff, and office supplies. No, really. Me giving Nyarla bags and Sanrio stuff is like Nyarla giving me makeup. We can divest ourselves of huge amounts of stuff, and not notice a dent in our personal collections. We then played with packet, hellcat from the world beyond for a while, and escaped unscathed.

I finally decided to return Nyarla home, by way of CVS, where we got sucked into the makeup again, and the hair stuff. But we did actually remember to get what we actually went there for (an ankle brace for Nyarla, as she twisted / thumped her ankle in her yard earlier in the day), so that was good. I dropped Nyarla off at home, and waved at huey, and came back here, where I am going to sort through today's gatherings, and start dumping episodes from the Monk marathon to VHS for Nyarla, and maybe even finally get around to redyeing my hair.

A busy weekend thus far, but a really good one.

Erm. Oops.

Things what I forgot before embarking on this evening's dyeing adventure: I have three brand new holes in my head that do not want toxic red goop shoved into them.

Yes, I did cover all visible skin on my head with Vaseline before the dyeing began, but it's pretty much impossible to dye without getting dye on your ears. The Vaseline would have protected it just fine, except that I bumped the cartilage piercing while dyeing, and the piercing spun, taking Vaseline and dye into the happy new hole with it.

Ow. It really isn't all that bad, but I think that the showering process in (checks watch) 20 minutes will probably be kind of interesting. Ow.
