What was I thinking?

I said that tomorrow is going to be empty? Egads, I don't know what I was on. I have so many things to do tomorrow, around the house, and for work, and for personal geekery. Soup to make, laundry to do, reports to write, web pages to port, reviews to write, flowers to cut, reading to do, dishes to wash, movies to watch, lists to make. Yeesh.

It does make me sad that I won't have seen anyone else this weekend, though. coyote's off doing her own thing, Nazgul has been in throes of cleaning and being a recluse (everybody needs recluse time), Nyarla and I never managed to hook up today, and... well, those are really the only people I see around here.

Ah well. I will certainly get the whole social thing out of my system next week, up in Massachusetts, though there are some unplanned moments as of yet. Well, a day. Most of a day, at least. I will then want to come home and hide in the apartment for a while. Maybe I can go to Ny's on Tuesday and have her do my nails, if she's up to it. Wednesday would be better, from a nails survival aspect, but I want to get to bed really early on Wednesday, as my flight leaves at a stupid time on Thursday.

So yeah. Tomorrow will be busy, it seems.

Journal mechanism question.

Hrm. Ok. If I were being obsessive (who? me? you jest!), and wanted to import all of my journal entries from my other journal to this one, but some of those don't have time stamps, what would be the best way to do this? I didn't start including time stamps on my entries until sometime relatively recently, and I don't even require having them for entries even now, which is useful when I'm doing after-the-fact day-filling reports.

Hrm. I shall have to ponder this.

Not the best of all possible ideas.

Ok, so I had a really hard time getting started today. Despite all the things on my to-do list, lounging and reading my mystery seemed like the most compelling thing to do. I finally got up to go out and about around 4:30 or so. I first went to Safeway to try to swap out the wrist splint that didn't fit. Unfortunately, they didn't have any in a larger size, so I returned it and got a different kind that probably won't be as useful, but will fit, so maybe it will be more useful. Then, I went to Dunkin Donuts, since I'm on doughnut kick. On my way there, I realized that I was very very thirsty. So when I got there, I ordered a 32 ounce iced coffee. And drank all of it. In about four minutes.

Now I sit and vibrate. Buzzzzzzzzz.

Friday Five (again, not on Friday).

  1. What's your favorite piece of clothing that you currently own?

Hrm. For out-in-the-world-clothes, I think it's a toss-up between my black lace long-sleeved peasant shirt and my new comfy denim capris. For in-the-apartment-clothes, my bright red plaid flannel pajama pants.

  2. What piece of clothing do you most want to acquire?

A bra that fits. No. Really.

  3. What piece of clothing can you not bring yourself to get rid of? Why?

A tan crocheted granny shirt. Because I made it, and I loved it when I fit in it, and I wore it a lot in some fairly happy times.

  4. What piece of clothing do you look your best in?

    ... I have no idea.

  5. What has been your biggest fashion accident?

I am a fashion accident. I wear what is comfortable, which tends to not be fashionable, particularly on a 5'7", 270 pound woman. I have recently stopped wearing white t-shirts every minute of my life, though, so maybe that's a step onward to something new.
Yeah. Fashion isn't one of my strong points.

It is well and truly amazing...

Sometimes I am stunned by the things that pass as accomplishments when you are inept as I am. I just finished refilling and rehanging my bird feeder, and I am pleased. This involved on trip downstairs to retrieve the hook thingie that I'd dropped over the edge of the balcony and dropping the top of the bird feeder on my head twice. But, I have refilled the damn thing, and now packet will have birds to watch again. Because she just wasn't psycho enough, you know?

Digging through the mail pile.

Whoot! I was cleaning the area around my desk, and I stumbled across a mailbag or two that I hadn't emptied out yet, and found the check from Agthorr from selling him one of the defunct Palm VIIs. Yay! Of course, in the same stack of mail, I found the bill for my PO box, which is $12 more than the check, and was due on Saturday. Here's hoping they'll cut me some slack since I've been a customer there for 5.5 years or so now. Neep.
