Leaving... on a jet plane...

I’m sitting here at Logan, waiting for my flight to be called. Since I have some time to kill, I figured that now is as good a time as any to start backfilling all the journal-y stuff I’ve missed over the last couple of days. Besides, I had to turn my laptop on anyway to see if it still functions after being dropped on my way through security (oops). Let the backfilling begin!

Backfilling complete.

And that brings us back to today. I am still sitting at the airport, but I think they’re going to start boarding soon. This morning was fairly uneventful. I was very tired, but also very sunburned, so I woke up a few times when I turned the wrong way or scratched my back or something, but it’s all very hazy since my desire to Stay Asleep was so strong. I finally did get up at 8:30, and did net-like things, and packed, and showered. Around that time, arr got up, and got ready for the day as well. This, apparently, included making me eat breakfast (eeg). I also got her to help me rename / caption the wedding pictures, since I am horrible with names, and needed help putting names to faces.

Once that was done, it was about time to go. I finished throwing things into various bags (including the samosas, yum!), and we piled into the car. There weren’t a lot of cars on the road, but they were all moving slowly, much to arr’s dismay. I got to the airport with plenty of time to spare, and dodged the long long line at the US Airways Shuttle counter by virtue of having an e-ticket and being able to use the little check-in kiosks. I even made it through security without getting searched (though I did, as mentioned, drop my laptop (eek)). And I ate one of the bananas arr made me bring (happy, arr?).

But now they are calling for boarding, and it sounds like a full flight. Thanks to getting here early, though, at least I have a good seat. (Exit row aisle, bay-bee!)

I go pack up now. There will, undoubtedly, be more from DC.

Aloha!
