Cheery weekend plans.

It seems that Nyarla, LostVger, and I will be venturing into DC Saturday morning to go to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. You know, a nice, pleasant way to spend a morning.

I have picked up passes in advance, since they can be a complete pain to get same-day. I have one extra, if anyone wants to tag along. Fabric shopping shall take place afterwards, though I do have to run home in the mid-afternoon, so it won't be an all-day sort of thing.

Yeah, I went to the Holocaust Museum a couple of years ago. It's pretty cool for about 10 minutes. Then you go through The Holocaust exhibit.

It's rough. Very very rough.

I would suggest getting their before you do the big exhibit to look at the rest of the museum. The Remember the Children exhibit takes about an hour to go through.

The Holocaust exhibit takes about 2 to 3 hours. You are probably going to want to leave by the time you are done with it.

The other parts of the museum are interesting, particularly the layout of the museum. They have some interactive displays with interviews with holocaust survivors which I didn't fiddle around with.
