Inagural craft night: success.

So, I had my first-ever craft night here at ROFLheim, and I am deeming it a success, even though there were a number of factors working against me (messy apartment, ended up providing more munchy-like food than real food, etc). We had a small group, since some folks had other plans and some folks had transportation issues. But, it was fun. I worked on cross-stitch, Beth worked on crochet, fuzzichi worked on stenciling and painting a vase, Dizzy worked on chain mail, and sitz worked on... a carburetor (hey man, it was craftlike). We had Pixar movies playing in the background (Finding Nemo and Monsters, Inc.) and a good time was, I think, had by all. Sadly, Vger was not able to make it, because he ended up trapped in Baltimore until quite late, and has to be back up there at 6AM, so it wouldn't make any sense for him to come all the way down here just for a couple of hours.

... Strange. The project I'm working on had me accidentally create the image of Frank the Bunny from Donnie Darko, and I took pictures of it, but my camera doesn't seem to believe I took pictures. Hrmph! How... strange.

Anyway, folks departed, and I worked on cross-stitch some more, and I think I'm going to go try to sleep soon. Definitely a success, though, and I will certainly be doing this again. Yay! If you live in the area and would like to be notified of future craft nights, let me know. :)

mmm, craft night.

It'd be cool to have something closer to here like that again (since there hasn't been a jewelry day in a while)...give me an excuse to practice the embroidery I keep putting off.
i don't live in the area, but i would still like to be notified, because I might be able to be convinced to be in the area. :-)
Take meeeeeeeee!
Ok, if you're going to drive down to VA and can stand to have me in the car for that long, take me with you? :}
